Whether it be for fun or to keep that competitive edge, it’s the ideal way to spend some time with family and friends - even just watching some live sports ensures you get in the mix!

Port Elizabeth and surrounds

  • Town Lodge Business Night Relay

Companies, educational institutions, schools and social clubs or groups are invited to enter their teams into the Town Lodge Business Night Relay challenge in on the last Tuesday of July, August and September

This is a racing event for running teams of five or walking teams of three to cover the 3.5km lap. Each participant in the team is required to complete one lap of the course.

Where:  Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium

When: 25 July, 29 August and 26 September

  • Coldwater Classic 2017

Any swimmers that want to one-day swim from Robben Island to Big Bay, the English Channel or just want to give cold water swimming a try? Then challenge yourself this winter with the Cold Water Classic - Jbay 

Now in its 5th year, the Coldwater Classic forms part of the JBay Winterfest being held from 12- 23 July in Jeffrey’s Bay

Swimmers can experience the thrill and challenge of swimming a triple mile in sub 15-degree water where swimmers wear one Speedo type costume, goggles and a standard silicone swim cap.

Cost: No cost, but must be registered and only pre-entries will be accepted. For safety and planning reasons, no late entries will be accepted after close of entry on Friday 14th July 2017


  • Global Diabetes Walk

Join locals in support and compliment the World Diabetes Day campaign run by the International Diabetes Federation. Finishers will be awarded medals and the first 300 people to register will each receive a Global Diabetes t-shirt.

  • Nelson Mandela Bay Urban Run

Time to hit the streets of the CBD for a fun charity event focused less on speed and more on camaraderie. Urban athletes come in all shapes, sizes, ages and speeds.

Cape Town  

  • Nissan #TrailSeekerWC 

NISSAN TrailSeeker is hosting the Cape series at Elgin Grabouw Country Club, Bosman Family Vineyards and Sumaridge Wines. The areas boast a long history of mountain biking, with some incredibly panoramic routes that are set against a background consisting of mountains, vineyards, forests and dams, making it an idyllic ride.

  • Sunday Shootout Cycle Race 

Join cool kids racing around Cape Town disregarding traffic rules and rocking their t-shirts instead of the regular, secure spandex cycling gear.

The Sunday Shootout Cycle Race allows the participants to choose the bicycle they want to ride in the competition and then compete against those in their class.

Catch the two most favoured diski teams in SA football, Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates going head to head at the FNB Stadium from 15:30.

  • Ashburton National MTB Series Dullstroom #NatMTB6

Dullstroom is a small town in Mpumalanga province, nestled at the foot of De Berg and although it may be synonymous with fly fishing, horseback riding, hiking and small town vibes, it has become a new retreat for mountain bike enthusiasts with its high altitude and tough trails and Dullstroom’s rolling hills, natural footpaths and picturesque scenery is a mountain biker’s dream.
