Cape Town - A light two-seater aircraft crashed onto Illovo Beach in Amanzimtoti, KwaZulu-Natal, early Saturday morning.
Rescue Care paramedics and the local fire department was on the scene and have confirmed that its two male passengers were unharmed.

The flight took off at Virginia Airport in Durban, and started flying south along the coast before crash landing on the beach. Rescue Care has confirmed that it was a training flight.
In videos and photos, the plane appears to be on its roof with its wheels in the air, its tail digging deep into the sand.
According to Rescue Care, the cause of the crash is still unknown as the South African Civil Aviation Authority is still investigating.
