New SA Express route to the Eastern Cape

Travellers now have more options to fly to the Eastern Cape with new routes announced by SA Express on Thursday.

The new routes - effective from 15 November 2019 - will commence between Cape Town and East London (four frequencies per week), East London and Mthatha, and Mthatha and Cape Town (three frequencies per week).

This is the flight schedule:

  • SA1361 CPT 06:30 ELS 07:55 (Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun)
  • SA1377 ELS 08:30 UTT 09:10 (Mon, Fri, Sun)
  • SA1342 UTT 09:40 CPT 11:30 (Mon, Fri, Sun)
  • SA1362 ELS 08:30 CPT 10:10 (Wed)

Currently SA Express services 12 destinations.

“As we approach the end of 2019, the introduction of these routes gives customers more travel options and connections. Offering our customers added convenience on our enhanced route network is a priority, especially during the upcoming festive period,” says the SA Express spokesperson.
