Cape Town - Surfing enthusiasts will be excited to hear that high seas with wave heights in excess of 6 to 9 metres are expected between Cape Aghullas and Port St Johns on Wednesday, 5 August.

The high seas will subside from the west, but areas from Table Bay and Cape St Francis will also be affected by these high seas on early Wednesday morning, before the stormy seas are expected to move up along the Sunshine Coast.

If you're not quite into surfing but love wave photography then you need to check out the awesome creativity of this proudly South African photographer based in Durban, Marc Botha. This little instagram video below is just a taster of what he does. Visit his Instagram profile MarkKBothphoto for more.

And it seems as if the southern right whales love the wild waters as much as any surfer would!

Dave Hurwitz from the Simon's Town Boat Company took incredible photographs of the southern rights in False Bay, Cape Tow, close to Muizenberg beach. He posted them to Facebook on Monday, 3 August saying, "It was wild out there' on Monday morning - The sea was CRAZY & so were the whales"!
