Cape Town - Heavy rains that are flooding the Punda Maria and Shingwedzi roads in the Kruger National Parks have been welcomed by guests in the midst of the severe drought in SA.

, where guests expressed their delight in the much-needed rain in the area.
Because of the heavy rains, visitors in the park are advised to be careful of flooding on various main roads.

The road at Shingwedzi also appears to be flooded:
Although the flooding may cause restrictions for visitors in the park, many SANParks Kruger National Park group members are thankful for the rain.
Anneline Wolvaardt Ferreira commented on one of the flooding photos saying, "Wonderful roadblock".
