Cape town - SkyWest Flight 5449 should have been just another routine flight from San Francisco to to Boise, Idaho. It ended up being a flight that the passengers will likely never forget.

Midway through the flight a woman got up from her first-class seat and made a frantic dash for the door at the front of the plane.

Unsuspecting passengers, momentarily frozen with bewilderment, looked on as the woman then proceeded to try to open the cabin door.

The woman, whose identity has not been made public, is shown in cellphone footage being restrained by passengers, who are now awake to the threat posed by the erratic actions of the woman.

The bizarre spectacle continued as footage shows that the woman, now being held down, goes on to proclaim her hallowed status to her fellow passengers as she repeatedly shouts “I am God. I am God. I am God.”

It remains unclear what caused the woman to react in this manner. Upon successfully landing, passengers disembarked with no further issue and the woman was released into the custody of law enforcement for questioning.

The passenger has however been identified as a resident of Boise, Idaho and has since been placed in the custody Idaho Department of Health and Welfare.
