Cultural highlights:

Luxor temple

One of the must-see stops on a tour of the cultural highlights of Egypt. It is a physical testament to the glorious past and continuous history of Egypt from the 18th dynasty of Ancient Egypt to the 14th century when a mosque was built in the complex. The temple exhibits the influences of various pharaohs such as Ramses II, Amenhotep III and Tutankhamen over the years with statues and images of them carved in the walls.

Giza pyramid complex

There is perhaps no monument so imposing and so iconic on the planet as that seen at the Giza Plateau. The Great Pyramids of Giza is the greatest pyramid complex in the world. As the only one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, this is one cultural highlight that needs no further explanation. Nearby you can also find the Solar Boat Museum and the Sphinx.

Abu Simbel temples

Another one of Egypt's breathtaking cultural highlights harks back to the time of Pharaohs. It is the second most visited site in Egypt and is astounding to behold. The most popular temple is dedicated to Ramses II and was built during his reign in the 13th century BC. These colossal structures show giant seated figures of Ramses and are more than worth the trip.
