Cape Town - The festive season is the best time to make new memories with your family and friends, it allows you to spend quality time together and bond over activities and snap the next family photo that soon to be framed and on the mantle.

The squad may not always see eye to eye and it can be tough to cater to everyone's individual tastes.

If you are making your way to Joburg this festive season - then we have the ideal list of activities to get everyone involved. The city of Gold may not have the beach but it sure does echo a summer vibe in the line up below.

The zoo hosts an array of events including the Zoo trot - a fun 5km walk around the zoo grounds and a farm yard where you can 'awww' at the baby goats as you feed them.

Snap a great shot at feeding time when the monkeys come out to play from 10:00.
