The Garden Route is already adventure holiday central - from the Bloukrans bungy to the Otter Trail - and Mossel Bay is closer to adding a new adrenaline-infused attractions.

The much-anticipated zipline over the Indian Ocean in Mossel Bay announced on its facebook page that plans are once again going ahead. The plan for the '1,1km zipline of screaming fun’, expected to be the longest zipline over the ocean in the world, was initially announced in 2017.

It has since been approved by the Mossel Bay Municipality, with construction underway and the official opening date still to be announced - after bad weather delayed its December 2019 opening.

The new adventure attraction also has a new partner SA Forest Adventures, according to the post, which says it has seen over 500k views across its combined platforms. The video below shows where the cable will start and end next to the roof of the aquarium below at the Point.
