Having done the Wild Corridor for the first time in 2015, then back to back double tours in 2016, Kevin is super stoked that The Wild Corridor MTB Tour is back in 2018 after being postponed in 2017 due to fires.

Not only is it back, but Kevin has made some fantastic changes to the original route, mostly to make it a little more interesting and a tad easier by cutting out the first long day.

"The emphasis on the route has shifted to more quality riding over quantity and I’m sure riders will experience a unique 4 days of riding," he says.

The biggest changes to the route will be a new start in Kareedouw, traversing a stunning 4×4 route over the mountains and down a breathtaking decent into the finish of Day 1.

The last day has been changed to incorporate some of the awesome trails Plett and Knysna have to offer.

“I am looking forward to hosting this tour once more and can’t wait for the ride banter and evening shenanigans to begin!” he says.

"Last word of advice, although the tour is all about fun, make sure to put in a bit of effort with your training, the fitter you are the more you will enjoy it.

"Having said that there’s always a spot available in the backup vehicle and there should be a spare E-Bike on the roof!"

How does it work?

Each overnight location has been chosen for its individual character and intimacy. After a day spent riding through the corridor, riders will arrive at already set up camps, where they will be able to enjoy cold beverages, sumptuous food cooked by the Bhejane Chefs and fireside banter.

There will be a variety of entertainment on select evenings as well as the opportunity to connect with fellow riders, before turning in for the night, for a well-deserved rest.
