The Cliff Concept Boutique Hotel is causing quite a stir for its way-out pool design, designed by a Turkish architectural company, Hayri Atak Architectural Design Studio - and once complete it is set to be phenomenal.

The proposed location Preikestolen will be the home of this futuristic designed hotel. Meaning Pulpit Rock, it is a 1,982-foot cliff (604-metre) in southern Norway - and already a major tourist draw-card.

Design Boom details that Atak, established in 2017, has worked on a number of projects including hotel design, cafe and restaurant design, store concept design, villa design, clinical design, housing design, and facade design.

The new hotel will have multi levels - but with only nine rooms.

The top level is expected to have a "large viewing platform as part of its entrance, with a reception area and lobby, as well as one restaurant and cafe".

The three floors below will have guest accommodation, along with curved balconies that protrude out from the edge of the cliff, offering panoramic views of the fjords below and surrounding mountains.

The spectacular swimming pool will be housed on the last deck. As a long and narrow structure, "it will stretch out into the distance, creating an uncertain yet thrilling architectural concept".

Atak has also recently been working on parametric designs, prototype techniques, molding & serial manufacture techniques of products and facades, and robotic architecture.

PICS: A London hotel's upcoming rooftop infinity pool will have 360-degree views of the city
