The festive season is in full swing, and with it comes the great migrations that South Africans undertake at this time of year.

While some have the luxury of flying when heading home to see friends, family or loved ones - others either have to plan the annual road trip down to the letter or opt for the longer experience of bus travel.

TravelStart, one of South Africa's biggest Online Travel Agents (OTA) has just launched a bus booking platform, available at bus.travelstart.co.za

So how does the site work?

Much like its main booking site, the bus booking platform allows customers to compare prices of the leading bus lines in the country from the cheapest to the more pricey fares by choosing the type of ticket they want to purchase, whether return or one-way.

They've also made it east to book and pay for up to ten passengers in a single booking, as well as filter search results by bus company, coach class and price. Some of the numerous companies you can find on the site include Greyhound, Intercape, Eldo Coaches and Citiliner.

Even the payment options prove to be simpler than what most travellers are used to. Customers can pay for tickets by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express) at the time of booking, or at Pick n Pay stores countrywide.
