"Everyone deserves to travel," says Minister of Tourism, Mmamoloko Kubayi-Ngubane as she addressed a crowd at the Drakensberg Sun on Friday, 23 August 2019 ahead of World Tourism Month 2019 and World Tourism Day on 27 September.
One of the concerns often raised about travelling, however, is the affordability aspect. In that vein, South African Tourism is launching #TravelWeekSA, which will run between 23-29 September and is dedicated to promoting local tourism by offering South Africans travel discounts.

Under its distinct campaign positioning: Everything Must Go, Everyone Must Go, Sho’t Left Travel Week is a robust response to the lack of access to travel for all South Africans. “This initiative was designed to give South Africans access, in a bigger better way, by addressing the affordability challenge they face,” said Mashoto Mokgethi, Head at Domestic Tourism at South African Tourism.
What to expect? Some of the deals you can book during that week - and use at any time - is a stunning Sunset Cruise on the Knysna Lagoon with 30% off - wine and oysters included!
