There is no time like now. Make a list and do all your Christmas shopping this end of month.

Black Friday is also around the corner, so be sure to be prepared and get your stocking fillers sorted before the end of year rush hits. Think about travel accessories and goodies the adventure and travel junkie in your life would like to travel with. What could help them along their journey? Don't be stuck in a mall on the 24th of December.

Or swap gifts for experiences. What better gift is there than giving someone the opportunity to make memories?

Here are a few gift ideas that come in experience-form:

Spot shy meerkats at De Zeekoe Guest Farm (Oudshoorn)

Part of the Cape Country Routes, be sure to book a stay for your loved one (and yourself, hopefully) at this unique Karoo escape where you can walk close to wild meerkats. Sometimes shy, they do tend to show face at times, making for a wonderful wildlife spotting.

On Black Friday, the guest farm offers 40% off if you book between 1 June and 31 July 2020.

Go stargazing at Camdeboo National Park (Karoo)

Perhaps one of the most desolate parts of the country, the Karoo is one of the great natural wonders of the world. Camdeboo National Park's unique landscape, ecosystem and immense scenic beauty are worth travelling for.

Give your loved one the chance to be covered by the Karoo's beautiful blanket of stars at night, as there is zero-to-none light pollution here.

Outdoor movie nights (Cape Town and surrounds)

Add a Galileo ticket to someone's stocking this festive season. An open-air cinema experience in beautiful nature is the perfect summer treat.

Watch a selection of movies at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, Century City, Battery Park, Meerendal and other winelands estates.

Fly somewhere new for a mini break

Take Black Friday as an opportunity to see SA. Get a low-budget airline ticket, say Mango or Kulula and go see a destination for a weekend that you've never been to before. Oh, and take your loved one with, spoiling them with a mini-break. Durban, Jozi, East London or PE - there are so many possibilities!

Zipline with friends and family (Magoebaskloof)

For just R660, you can let someone experience the ultimate thrill - ziplining in Limpopo with the Magoebaskloof Canopy Tours. Imagine moving between platforms built high within the upper level of indigenous forests and ancient cliffs! Scared?

Don't be. Once you start, you won't be able to stop!

Go eat on a tennis court (Johannesburg)

Keep an eye on the No Rules Cafeteria's Instagram page for upcoming dates to buy tickets for you and a friend for its seasonal pop-up restaurant.

Here, you'll dine with the coolest of cool Joburg people, and on a tennis court situated at Dunkelder Teater, nonetheless. What an amazing gift to treat someone to an al fresco lunch with Joburg's finest?

Cruise the Klein River (Stanford)

Spoil someone with the ultimate luxury as you board the Lady Stanford for a leisurely boat cruise down the Klein River from Stanford Village towards the Hermanus Estuary and back.

From R225 a person, it's a small price to pay for one of a kind day in nature. Bring your own snacks and drinks to enjoy as you indulge in this 2-hour cruise.

Take a waterbike ride through Cape Town's canals

For around R295 you can gift someone an alternative ride through Cape Town - an exhilarating and unique waterbike cycling experience from Battery Park to the V&A via the canals.
