Kern Studios is the manufacturer of the floats and they take 50 weeks to make.

What you should know about Mardis Gras

The famous festival - also known as Fat Tuesday - takes place every year in the US state of Louisiana, most extravagant in the city of New Orleans.

The date is the day before Ash Wednesday, also the first day of Lent - parades however already start taking place in January.
