Weather Update: SA set for fine start to the week

Cape Town - With a slight chance of showers over the northern parts of the country, the rest of SA can expect a fine to mild Monday.

The South African Weather Service says there is a 30% chance of rain over Gauteng, Limpopo, KZN and parts of the Eastern Cape on Sunday evening leading into Monday morning - while Tuesday will see a 60% chance of rain across parts of Gauteng, the Free State as well as the Northern Cape.


On Monday minimum temperatures will be mostly cool to warm, as KwaZulu-Natal's Queenstown will start off with a nippy 7°C. Maximum temperatures will be warm to hot in SA's interior, with cool conditions expected over the coastal regions.  

Johannesburg in Gauteng will reach a high of 27°C, Pretoria will reach a hot maximum of 29°C and Bloemfontein in the Free State will peak at 25°C.

Along the coast, Cape Town reaches a high of 22°C, Port Elizabeth will see a high of 21°C, while Durban will reach 22°C.
