Cape Town - You'd think a flock of birds flying head-on would hardly make a dent in an aircraft, however a few pics of the damage caused to a Turkish Airlines aircraft following a bird strike suggest otherwise.
The Boeing 737-800 was en route from Istanbul to Nevsehir in Turkey, when the incident happened. None of the 125 passengers on board were injured, however, we can't help but feel really sorry for the poor birds.
Photos of the plane were tweeted by popular aviation tracking account, @flight_report and show the nose cone of the aircraft completely bashed in with random splatterings on blood.
