Cape Town -  South Africa's largest Water Park will begin to take shape in Kelso in KwaZulu-Natal from January 2016, according to the developer behind the multi-million-rand project, Peter Meyer.

ILoveDurban reports, Scottburgh has been touted as the next coastal boom area, with "this major development proving that it is no longer just a pipe dream".

A spokesperson for developers said in the report that Amazon Valley Water Park will include 23 family slides, tube slides and wave riders - with promises of some unique slides to South Africa.

Amazon Valley will also have 80 sites for caravans, lodge accommodation, restaurants, eight take-away franchises, a children’s play park, an animal farm, canopy tour and venues for weddings and other functions.
