On Tuesday, 11 December 2019, Dubai International Airport (DXB) tweeted that it's experiencing operational disruptions due to heavy rainfalls this morning. Luckily, flight disruptions are still at a 'minimal' at this point.
And this, just before their big holiday rush.

Flooding of roads around the airport is reportedly significant and Aerotime and the Dubai Police have advised passengers to allow for extra travel time to get to and from the airport.
Many tweeted that they've never experienced or seen such bad rain in Dubai, and videos and pictures were shared by motorists struggling to drive from Sharjah, the third largest and third most populous city in the United Arab Emirates, towards Dubai:
Seems this desert destination is becoming more of a wetland than anything else, as in November the Emirates also experienced similar rainfall, resulting in the flooding of the Dubai Mall:
