About TAAG Airlines

It is also known as TAAG Angola Airlines and it is Angola’s national flag carrier. This airline has been in existence since 1938 and the Angolan government owns 100% of it. It used to be known as DTA  Diviso de dos Transportes Aereos, then DTA Linhas Areas de Angola and then the airlines name changed to TAAG, its current name, in 1974.

TAAG Airlines operate flights from Johannesburg & Cape Town to Rio de Janeiro on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, returning on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Flights from Johannesburg to Sao Paulo operate on every day of the week. Flights from Cape Town to Sao Paulo operate on Sundays, Mondays, Wednsdays and Fridays, returning on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays.
