You can now let your taste buds take to the skies and dine in style when you fly premium with Qatar Airways.
The airline launched a new on-board dining experience, exclusively for its premium customers, boasting newly-designed tableware, in-flight dining menus, cutlery and chinaware.
Starting with the European routes, the airline says in a statement that the new dining experiences is set to "meet travellers’ high expectations and elevate their experience on board".
What's on the menu?
In addition to this, there will now be greater focus on featuring regional influences on the menu. New signature dishes based on route destinations include porcini and truffle risotto on Italian sectors, says the airline.
Meanwhile, traditional Arabic main dishes such as kabsa, biryani and flame-grilled meats will be meal choices across most routes.
Business Class passengers will be treated to new signature warm desserts and afternoon tea on selected routes.

Akbar Al Baker, Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, says that the airline's new offerings "will push the boundaries of Premium travel for our esteemed passengers".
"Every new concept was designed and produced with the highest attention to detail and quality, to meet the exacting standards of our passengers," he says, adding that the airline is working with local farms and suppliers to produce products for specific needs, "promoting a ‘farm-to-table’ approach".
"Our in-flight dining menus are designed to align with the four seasons, better incorporating the use of locally-grown produce and tapping into authentic foods of local provenance delivering the very highest international standards," he adds.
Catering for all tastes
The airline says it recognised that travellers are more aware of their dietary needs and express interests in healthier food options.
For the health-conscious traveller, Qatar Airways offers fresh salads, woodland berries, warm breakfast oatmeal and more. Healthier drinks include flavoursome cold-pressed juice on some flights.

For those who want to indulge there is an "enhanced caviar service" for First Class passengers, accompanied with a "Balik-style salmon and showcased on a bespoke crystal plate," says the airline.
Pre-select a meal
In addition to the existing Dine-on-Demand service already available, First and Business Class travellers will have the option to pre-select one main course from the à la carte on-board menu. This allows passengers to enjoy more freedom in creating a personal dining experience on selected long-haul flights from Doha.
To pre-select a meal, passengers must log into ‘My Trips’ on the Qatar Airways website and choose from the seasonal menu available on their flight, or order meals through the Qatar Airways mobile app.
