Emirates' season of love might just help you find love in the sky

Love is in the air - literally. 

Emirates is pulling out another seasonal menu for the worldwide celebrations of Valentine's Day, treating its passengers to some heart-shaped treats and teary-eyed entertainment.

It will kick off its season of love in Emirates' network of lounges - including Cape Town and OR Tambo's ones - from 13 to 15 February.

Business and First Class lounges will be spoiled with:

  • A Valentine’s champagne treat with the lively and generous notes of Moet & Chandon Rosé Impérial.
  • A selection of Valentine's inspired cakes and desserts including heart-shaped dark chocolate raspberry truffle, strawberry eton mess with mini heart sprinkles, red velvet cupcakes and red velvet ice cream.
  • Valentine’s Day coffee infusions by Coffee Planet & special biscuits from Costa Coffee.
  • A special Voss water infusion of strawberry & watermelon.
  • Specially flavoured teas from Dilmah including a spritely chamomile and black iced tea and a rum-based Moroccan mint mojito black iced tea which will be paired with Florentines and cookies.
  • Emirates’ special pampering services in the lounges like the Timeless Spa and shoe shine services will also have special deals.
  • Complimentary bottle engraving on purchase of spirits from Le Clos, a fine wines & luxury spirits retailer in the lounge.

In terms of food, all the airlines' lounges will offer their passengers delectable delights to munch down on, differing between regions. In the UK, white chocolate mousse with strawberry and passion fruit will thrill the senses, while Shanghai travellers will be treated to pink macaroon and heart-shaped mousse cakes. Cairo will have red velvet torte with cream cheese and strawberry tart.

But Valentine's Day won't be restricted to the lounges. In the air, Emirates will serve a special selection of desserts on its long-haul flights - Economy Class will be served dark chocolate mousse topped with candied hearts, First Class will be treated to snack baskets with strawberry and cream flavoured Lakrids liquorice as well as, alongside Business Class, a strawberry feuilletine with layered white chocolate mousse and strawberry jelly decorated with hearts.

They will also have a range of romantic comedies and love songs on their in-flight entertainment system, so you can fully immerse yourself in a world of meet-cutes and dramatic declarations of love.
