Cape Town - Imagine Jacob Zuma and Donald Trump on a phone call on a Monday evening? What could they possibly have spoken about?

Well, this was what the whole of South Africa was wondering when @ThePresidencyZA confirmed a request from the White House for a telecon between President  Zuma and President Trump yesterday afternoon.

The call took place on Monday night at about 8pm and @ThePresidencyZA tweeted that Zuma congratulated Trump on his election as the 45th President of the United States of America, and that the two presidents reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the already strong bilateral relations between the two countries. 

And while it is still unclear if Trump's administration would prioritise US-Africa relations, Twitter took to the streets and re-enacted how the #TrumpZumaCall went.
