Cape Town - You don't need to travel the world to find the most beautiful people - judging by the #FinePeopleFromSouthAfrica hashtag we just need to step outside our front door.

South Africans love a good Twitter hashtag and this one started off with a #FinePeopleFromAfrica, with many focusing on their thirst levels for the cast from Black Panther, and it started trickling down into country-specific hashtags, and so the South African thirst game was born.

People pulled out their best selfies to put out to the world, with some throwing love towards friends, lovers and celebrities. Some tried to stoke competition with the other countries, but were quickly put down by those who see the hashtag as celebrating African identity and unity.

All in all South Africa is the gift that keeps on giving and the rest of Africa is not struggling either to find the Kings and Queens from their nations.

Warning: Diving into this hashtag may leave you parched and in need of air conditioning.

Some brought that classic South African humour into their posts.

But mostly there was just some fine looking South Africans showing off their best sides. Other countries should take a seat.
