Cape Town - The snow flurries which have been falling on the high peaks of the Drakensberg in Lesotho over the past few days have accumulated to create a full on winter wonderland at Afriski Mountain Resort.

Dale Andrews for the resort sent Traveller24 stunning photos and video showing the snowfall, which now lies several centimetres thick...

Due to the snow, a section of the pass from Moteng to Afriski is currently inaccessible, but at the rate the resort is ploughing their way through the snow, this might be cleared soon. Check out this epic video of the AfriSki snow clearing:

The South African Weather Service indicated on Tuesday that cooler temperatures will continue across the country, as snowfall continues over parts of the Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal, as well as Lesotho.

Snow Report SA also says that "Certain parts of Lesotho, including the Maluti Mountains around Afriski may continue to experience light flurries of snow late on Tuesday evening, and into the early hours of Wednesday morning".
