Cape Town - It's common knowledge that the impala is one of the most resilient and buoyant creates on earth. Nothing is as beautiful as an impala flamboyantly jumping as it treks across the South Africa's great plains.

One of the places where impala are frequently spotted, is in the Kruger National Park. Here, they typically travel in groups with one alpha male and a many females.

On a recent visit to the Kruger, photographer Antonio Da Cruz‎ witnessed and captured a female impala seemingly jumping right over at least seven hippos lying next to a watering hole.

He posted to image to the official SANParks - Kruger National Park Facebook page saying, "Did you hear the one about the impala that jumped over the hippos?"

Da Cruz‎ lives in Springs in Gauteng, and runs his own photo page called Neo Cruz Photography
