The Mother City doesn't often experience lightning storms, but when she does - and there are some adventurous travel photographers on hand to capture it - you get pure magic.
This was the case over the past weekend. While the wind was creating absolute havoc, the sky was simply electric over the city bowl.

The incredible scene is every Cape Town photographer’s dream. One such storm chaser is Caryn Caboz who shared her adventure with Traveller24 saying, “The more you learn about photography, the more you start to realize that for those incredible photographers, these shots are not easy.
“They went out, they hiked/climbed/scrabbles/got wet/got hurt and worked their BUTTS OFF to get the shot!
“The wind was about 50km/hr with gusts of 80km ish. My tripod was wobbling! I had to hang my bag on it and lean it again the car to get a semi decently focused shot!
