Once the world starts travelling again, you might still be a bit anti-social from the quarantine and decide to go travelling by your lonesome self.
But for us women, we have to be a little extra careful about which destinations we choose to travel solo to.

Luckily Ampersand Travel updated their Wander Women Index for 2020, and looked at the following data to rank the top countries:
- Top-rated destinations for solo travel
- Women’s rights
- Tourism Infrastructure
New Zealand came out on top, climbing 19 places since 2019, for its safety and adventure options. The Pacific Ocean country was followed by the Netherlands, which jumped from 29th spot last year, while France came in third, dropping down only one spot.
Surprisingly, South Africa made it to the top 20, ranked in 17th position, with a dubious 10 out 10 for women's rights - a country plagued with high levels of gender-based violence, although it did receive the lowest ranking for safety.
