Cape Town - The winter season in Cape Town and along the False Bay shore means 'whale season', and we're stoked about these gentle giants making their appearance in SA once again.

Southern Right Whales flock to the warmer waters of False Bay in the Atlantic Ocean from June to October to breed, calf and interact with their babies before setting off to the colder waters towards Antarctica in November again.

Dave Hurwitz from the Simon's Town Boat Company took these incredible photographs of the southern rights in False Bay, Cape Tow, close to Muizenberg beach. He posted them to Facebook on Monday, 3 August saying, "It was wild out there' on Monday morning - The sea was CRAZY & so were the whales"!
