Spring has sprung in the Maluti Mountains and frosted flakes have peppered the landscape in a blanked of snow.
Earlier this year we saw Lesotho turn into a winter wonderland. But that was fitting, as it was winter.
Now in mid-spring October, Afriski resort, situated high up in the Drakensberg-Maluti Mountains - located 3050 m above sea-level to be exact - is seeing lots of snowfall. Painting its peaks white.

Earlier this week, SANI pass leading to the resort was closed to 2x4 vehicles as it was deemed too dangerous to drive it without a 4x4. The roads have since been opened again.
