Cape Town - If you've been threatening to go to cross the Lesotho border and head to AfriSki for a while now, we suggest you pack you bags and make your way this weekend.
The resort announced their excitement about the welcome snow storm on their Facebook page on Thursday afternoon and shared a few photographs - some from their webcam and others taken by staff members.
AfriSki kicked off their winter ski season on the weekend of 5 June, with snow machines having been responsible for the first batch of powdery slopes.

Snowfall is expected to continue on into Thursday evening, which means travellers heading there for the weekend will be treated to an authentic, snowy experience.
While the resort has said that there is accommodation available for the weekend, you can also head through for a day outing. Just be sure to keep an eye on the AfriSki website for road and weather updats.
