The Pitztaler Gletscher, Austria's highest ski resort standing at nearly 3 500 metres above sea level, boasts three patisseries along its snow and ski coated route.
The patisserie at its peak, Café 3440, is favoured for both its vantage point and a locally beloved dessert: Kaiserschmarrn - which is, essentially, a form of scrambled pancakes or flapjacks.
