Pad thai, rice balls and eclectic fusions - street food has become a foodie haven in many urban settings, offering everything from simple to gourmet food that's on the go for busy lifestyles.
My Late Deals wondered though which city was the best of the best and crunched the data based on number of street food vendors, affordability, foodie-centric experiences and tours and finally sanitation.

The top spot was taken by Hong Kong of course, world-renowned for their street food, followed by other Asian destinations Bangkok in Thailand and Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam.
One South African city made it into the top 30 at number 27 - Durban!
The city's most famous street food is the bunny chow of course, and the zinger chicken and tjips from local favourite Afro's. Hitting up a street food vendor after a night of partying in Florida Road is like a right of passage before you can get your dizzy self home.

They also have an array of famous food trucks that will always be rolling up to the various festivals and events that keep the city pumping, making sure that the spices and smells keep flowing to hungry stomachs. There's even a Durban Street Food Festival that takes place every year around September just for the occasion.
While they didn't make it into the top 10, Durban will be number one in our hearts.
