WATCH: Camps Bay to Cape Town on electric skateboard

Cape Time -  While it's not quite the same as that notorious incident involving Dec'io Lourenc'o,  who set off speed cameras while skateboarding down Kloofnek Road - you have to give Nick Hedley Druce and Cian Van Der Vyver credit for not wanting to arrive at their destination all hot and sweaty.

Druce and Van der Vyver, both longboarders from Cape Town, have come up with what they're calling the first African commute documented on an electric skateboard.

"Taking the hilly start out of Camps Bay along the Atlantic Seaboard, along the awesome Greenpoint bike lane through to the iconic Long street stretch. Uphill again to Kloof st and finishing at the 2 spots that you have to come to. 'Once in Cape Town' and 'Yours Truly',"reads the video's description on Youtube.
