Cape Town - Wynberg is one of those highly underrated urban areas on the southern side of Table Mountain in the Cape.

It operates as a link, mostly. Between old and new. Between high-end southern suburbs and the buzzing Cape flats. Between various religions, and between nature and urban development.

We asked to local millennials what they loved most about Wynberg... Here's what Zara Wichman and Zahrah Sedick deem the Top 5 things to do and see in a day:

Eat breakfast at Four and Twenty Cafe

Start the morning in style with a vintage-inspired brunch at Four and Twenty Cafe. With excellent pastries and steaming coffee, this little nook with ensure you're well fed for your Wynberg exploration day.

Have a peaceful picnic in Wynberg Park

Spend the morning having a peaceful picnic in Wynberg Park. For those with children, jungle-gyms and duck-feeding are an excellent way to stay active over weekends.

Go Rose picking at the Chart Farm

A romantic date for two, rose-picking is a unique experience for those with green fingers. Afternoon tea is also available for when you’ve worked up an appetite.

See a show in the theatre in Maynardville Park

End off your day with a brilliant performance beneath a ceiling of stars. The open-air theatre is a fantastic experience, with regular Shakespeare performances and ballets, which will sweep you away to another world for an hour or two.
