Cape Town - You can now escape the summer crowds in one of these six new, summery-chic Cederberg cottages.

The mountainous area is one of the Western Cape’s treasured spots, home to rugged valleys, secret pools and extreme weather conditions. Expect the best of summer while trekking across the mountain and the chilliest winters huddles inside the cosy cabins.

CapeNature’s new cottages are located near the Algeria campsite but its accommodation in the area also offers travellers a wide selection of stays, from self-catering cottages at Kliphuis, campsites and chalets in-and-around the Algeria forestry station.

The new cottages are Waterfall, Wolfberg Arch, Maltese Cross, Cedar, Klipspringer and Grey Rhebok, all named after local landmarks and animals from the Cederberg.

They offer an off-the-beaten path luxury with plush furniture, colourful interiors and wide windows allowing light to flow into your space.

All cottages use electricity and are stocked with kitchen utensils and appliances.
