Positioned at the Sandton Gautrain Station you'll now find an information booth with multilingual tourism ambassadors and public safety officers to help you find your way.  And the kiosk is a 24h operation, complete with solar power!

The first of its kind, Joburg Tourism, in partnership with Sandton Central has erected the kiosk in an effort to increase both safety and tourism to the area, says Tourism Update.

Complete with the Sandton Central logo, the booth also hopes to attract new investment for economic growth to this busy business district and to create employment opportunities and new skills. A good mix of business and pleasure, which ultimately hopes to make this business district much safer, both during the day and at night.

Situated in the piazza at the entrance to the Gautrain Station, on the corner of Rivonia Road and West Street, tourism ambassadors will run the show from 8am to 5pm on weekdays; then at night the public safety ambassadors will take over, 7-nights a week - from 7pm to 6am.
