The world can be a strange place - especially when it comes to the weird world of plants and fungi.
And recently, one particular flower attracted a massive crowd when it flowered deep in the forests of West Sumatra in Indonesia, according to Atlas Obscura.

This rafflesia - also known as a corpse flower - bloomed on the last night of 2019, and broke the record for being the largest flower ever recorded for its species - a whopping diameter of more than a metre.
