Expectations were high when I let my two boys know we were checking into the President Hotel in Bantry Bay for a visit.
“Will we meet the president?” my little one asked.
“While the hotel was opened by Nelson Mandela back in the day, this would not be the case,” I told him.
Despite no “presidential meeting”, there were a few highlights to look forward to during our overnight stay. The hotel is snugly situated in-between the world-renowned beaches of Cape Town and it eclectic CBD – giving its guests a great vantage point from which to explore
Just a short stroll down the road visitors will find the Queens Beach and Saunders’ Rock Beach which lead onto Sea Point Promenade and the inviting Sea Point Pool. Although, the Hotel itself has a pretty sublime pool too. Continue along the Promenade to the famous V&A Waterfront, while looking out for whales, dolphins and seals along the way.
And if you're checking in as a family - your little ones (Under 12-years) will be given special treatment, plus you'll be given an iVenture card to hop on and off the Red Bus so you can explore Cape Town top attractions thoroughly - and at your own pace. All included in your stay. Watch the video above to see what you can expect from their customised family package.
