Easter is almost upon us with its decadent chocolate offerings, steaming hot cross buns and egg-celent foodie creations that celebrate the season.

Try out these delicious selections around Mzansi if your grandmother's pickled fish isn't just quite getting your into an eggy-mood just yet.

Cape Town

Radisson Blu Waterfront

The hotel's restaurant and bar are egg-static to showcase their specially curated cocktails and pickled fish delicacies throughout April. 

Delectable creations to try out include the Earless Rose Bunny - a chocolate bunny only for adults - the Egg Basket and the Espresso Lindt Bunny - all made with ingredients that include Grey Goose, Fabbri chocolate syrup, Bombay Gin, Bacardi and even ice cream!

Damhuis Beach Restaurant

This historic restaurant at the start of the West Coast in Melkbosstrand is the perfect place to try out their famous pickled fish - a traditional Easter dish in Western Cape.

It's served cold with French loaf, and you can also add their famous fish cakes served with poached egg to your Easter meal!

One of the best ice cream spots in town (Newlands and Mouille Point), their April-inspired flavour for the month is a long-eared inspired carrot cake!

They have so many other flavours to choose from, perfect for a quick stop while wandering around on the Promenade on a lazy Easter weekend.

In Durban's Umhlanga side, you'll find the most decadent Easter buffet that might just haunt your dreams!

The buffet is just an explosion colourful eggs, chocolate-dripping cakes and towers of absolute deliciousness. You may contract diabetes afterwards however.
