Cape Town - After announcing that they'll be doing away with the Sun City Hotel, Sun City is making a clean sweep across the board with various other new rebrands and reinventions on the property.

This time, Sun City has unveiled Sun Privé, a new high-end gaming area "where discerning guests can find an exclusive sanctuary to play higher end slots and tables games".

The new gaming area forms part of the new Soho Hotel, as it will be called, which aims to capture the essence of Soho destinations in New York and London, "renowned for their popularity with the in-crowd, eclectic vibe and non-stop action".

The gaming area is a step up from the standard gaming area, providing personalised service, a select food offering with a dedicated bar and a new VIP Concierge Desk.

60 high denomination slots and 12 tables including Baccarat, Roulette, Poker and Blackjack will be at guests' disposal.

But this isn't all. The lounge and gaming area will also include a VVIP "ultra high-end" area called Privé Salon, where three of the 12 gaming tables will be located.

Sun Privé will offer a dedicated Most Valued Guest (MVG) programme Desk and VIP Concierge Desk, which will offer anything from booking flights, accommodation, restaurants and other requirements.

The gaming and entertainment areas will be reopened to the public in November 2016, ahead of the summer season, Andrew Irumba, Marketing Manager at Sun City says.

The revamp of the gaming area forms part of the multi-million rand upgrade of the Sun City Resort, set to be completed by 2017.

These include a new slide, giving the ultimate 17m plummet body slide adventure in a capsule at the Valley of the waves, as well as expanded accommodation options within its Cabanas Chalets offering.

The new and improved water park opened on 25 June this year. It sends riders sliding at 40mph or 65km/h before being swept upwards into a near-vertical loop. G-forces pins the riders as they slide up, over and then down before crashing into the splashdown lane.
