Cape Town - The Association of South African Travel Agents (ASATA) have announced their awards' finalists.

The ASATA Awards is part of the organisation's campaign to professionalise South Africa's travel industry, giving credibility to its certified members and to give consumers peace of mind when booking with ASATA agents.

ASATA CEO Otto de Vries views the awards as a celebration of excellence.

"The awards recognise those travel professionals who continue to offer excellent service with passion and due care, and who improve the perception of this exciting industry," says De Vries.

ASATA has been around since 1956 and represents more than 85% of the country's industry that includes travel agents, management companies and wholesalers.
