We all know Kruger is an amazing place for wildlife sightings, but this slithering spectacle is something else.

Visitors to the Kruger National Park were literally stopped in their tracks by this rather unusual sighting as an African Rock Python slithers across the road and disappears into a pothole.

This footage was captured by Pieter Loock on his visit to the Kruger National Park.  You may also want to check out the above Python stalking a meal recently in Kruger.

While the African rock python is a nonvenomous snake, it can reach an estimated 6-metres long. It catches its prey by coiling itself around the victim and crushing it to death. So while it is not quite a ferocious lion, we still wouldn't risk messing with it.
