It is a bush lodge which was converted from what used to be called The Employment Bureau of Africa Ltd (TEBA) Tourism Facility, Lesego Nko for SANParks said.
The facility includes three houses, namely Mockford Residence, Mockford Cottage and Dr Guesthouse which can accommodate eight, four and six guests, respectively.
The new camp also has a reception and swimming pool. SANParks also plans to open a museum on the premises, which they hope to have operational next year.
The camp boasts an abundance of large trees due to its proximity to Luvuvhu and Limpopo Rivers, which will offer great birding opportunities to visitors.
Mockford Cottage, the four-sleeper option, is available to guests for a base rate of R2 150. Dr. Guesthouse, the six-sleeper, has a base rate of R3 100. The Mockford House, which sleeps eight people, can be booked at a base rate of R4 000.
The Base Rate amount is charged for any number of guests occupying a unit not exceeding the base number for that accommodation type.
