Cape Town - South Africa is the most beautiful country in the entire world, which explains why this country - and the entire southern tip of Africa for that matter - hold the most awe-inspiring, crazy beautiful photographic opportunities on the globe.

Many modern 'travel' photos - especially the ones depicting subjects with pouted faces in front of iconic landmarks - tend to annoy the purist travellers and travel photographers. Photos of faces pouting on the Eiffel Tower, for example, are over. Done!

What's not done, on the other hand, are photographs that are taken in the moment. Photos capturing true emotions, and pics that celebrate the essence of the destination you're visiting.

In southern Africa, luckily, those photos are easy to take, as the truly awe-inspiring places in this part of the world are just so abundant.

If anything should inspire you to take a truly inspiring photo, it should be these places:

The Devil's Pool at the Victoria Falls

Spitzkoppe in Namibia
