Hollard Daredevil Run 2017

Hollard Daredevil Run 2017 is calling all daredevils. This is an invitation to men of all ages, shapes and sizes to take to the streets in dashing purple Speedos to run cancer out of town! Now in its eighth year, this is a fun 5km run with a difference, promoting early detection of male cancers to save lives.

Slow Food presents Serengeti Eat-In featuring Nguni Beef

6th Annual Ingoma Competition

The Playhouse Company’s 6th Annual Ingoma Competition is going to be bigger than ever with more than 36 Zulu dance groups competing for prizes, trophies and prestige, with the total prize money offered at the value of R197 400. The term ‘ingoma’ literally translates as an “anthem” in the isiZulu language, however, nowadays it tends to refer to the many and varied dance styles that exist within the Zulu culture, particularly in the competitive arena.

Rep Your Hood 2017 Edition

Solo artists and crews are invited to represent their kasi in either DJ-ing, rapping, singing or dancing. Registration for DJs is R100 for a 30-minute slot, for rappers and singers R70 for two songs and dancers R50 for four minutes. Registration must be done before March 23. The multiple award-winning Ladysmith Black Mambazo will be performing at this year’s ATKV Oesfees 2017.
