From weekend-long festivals, razzle dazzle dress-ups and hip-hop concerts to beach parties, gospel shows and 'sokkie' - there are ample ways to reel in 2017!

We have seen a lot of weird, wonderful and beautiful moments this year giving us plenty to toast to, but a new year means new journeys, adventures and resolutions - and there is nowhere we'd rather celebrate it than in the rainbow nation.

Saffas, make a night of it! Treat the family to a show, take bae for a dance, settle down to a picnic and celebrate South Africa!

If 'sokkie' music and 'vasdans' is your thing, you are in for a massive treat! All the Afrikaans greats get together under one roof for a night filled with dancing! Kurt Darren, Snotkop, Ray Dylan and Brendan Peyper join forces to bring you four hours of unstoppable sokkie hits.

Revolution NYE

The soul shaking outdoor festival where you'll dance your way into 2017. Expect a weekend filled with sunshine, trance and dance.

New Year at Randlords

From the sky high Randlords rooftop there are panoramic views across the city making it the ideal place from which to view the midnight fireworks display, plus top DJs and other live entertainment should keep the party going long into the early hours.

Soweto Theatre Colours Countdown to 2017
The City of Joburg and Soweto Theatre will be hosting the theatre’s first New Year’s Eve party!
