Cape Town - The beaches of the Western Cape in South Africa, especially those in the Cape Town surrounds and in Hermanus, have once again been awarded as some of the best in the world.

In Tripadvisor's 2015 Traveller's Choice Awards, altogether six SA beaches are named under the Top 25 on the African continent.
Camp's Bay ranked the highest in second place, and is described by the reviewers website and app as a "sandy beach where massive, cold waves are just what's needed on a hot, sunny summer Cape Town day".

9. Bloubergstrand Beach, Cape Town
13. Grotto Beach, Hermanus
22. Voëlklip Beach, Hermanus

Cape Town also ranked in second place on National Geographic's list of Top Beaches Cities around the world. The highly acclaimed mag praised Cape Town for its array of stunning, diverse beaches, mentioning the Clifton beaches in particular.
NatGeo praised the Clifton beaches for their "stellar sunset-viewing, which are sheltered from the region’s strong trade winds by a mountainous ridge".
Beaches like Bloubergstrand were also praised by NatGeo for their perfect surfing conditions, while other beaches, like those at False Bay, were mentioned for their tidal rock-pools, which are perfect for families with little ones.
On a global scale in the Tripadvisor Traveller's Choice Awards, the SA beaches excelled too. Camp's Bay beach is listed as the 11th best beach in the world on the 2015 listing.
