Our all time scariest nightmare has come true to a woman visiting the 14th Factory gallery as the perfect angle selfie turns messy. The art installation by Simon Birch was damaged on 13 July as a visitor attempted to take the 'perfect selfie' - bending down and causing a domino effect of the stands which had the crown sculptures displayed on them.
The damage caused to the art has said to amount to R 260 million - being the most expensive 'selfie' ever. Next time you take a selfie - make sure to be out of bounds of expensive art. We can only hope the policy is not 'you break it, you buy it' if so there is a hefty bill awaiting the woman.
