It’s the one time of year when the mention of SARS could possibly come with good news.

If you’re one of the lucky South Africans to get a SARS tax refund this year and want to spend it cooling your heels on a beach somewhere exotic, here are just a few of the destinations the Association of Southern African Travel Agents (ASATA) suggests for your ‘Thanks to the Taxman’ unexpected holiday retreat.

It is important to note that these December holiday breaks all have specific terms and conditions, and that you’re booking your December holidays with a reputable travel partner.

Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is, and December is an opportune time for fraudsters to swindle you out of your SARS-earned holiday.
